I'm building this #solarpunk battery, and someone said that for the bus bar, I should use brass. I see that this guy on uToob does that, but I can't figure out why. It's less conductive / more resistive.

Why would someone use brass as a bus bar?
I was just going to use copper flat bar. I could use aluminum, but that won't solder up well.

Copper is fine, the only real-world difference is price (and strength).

I've seen brass used for current shunts (where it makes sense you'd possibly want something more resistive). Not sure why you'd want more resistance in a bus bar.
