I'm thinking of the question too, of how things beyond 'ui/ux bug-ish things' could be addressed, and deeper work could be done, that address more fundamental aspects of the experience. That reminds me of how there's a tendency to call folx uxers here instead of "users". I like the democratizing aspect of that, and also increasing the sense that we're all participants in the design of this, or can be, and ideally would be, as there's no great 'entity in the sky' to magically provide it for us, since we're also not selling ourselves/our data to use it.
It makes me think of how, in general, the development community has a mature practice of open collaboration around shared code artifacts, but the design community doesn't have that quite.
