So what's new with #cabal ? Looks like last I looked, some of the biggest contributors ( @noffle / @cblgh ) haven't had much time to work on it.
At one point I wanted to help with mobile dev, but upon failing to build cabal-mobile on my computer several times, I gave up. I also honestly do not have a great grip on React. I did build a desktop client that works, and tried forking it to Cordova but had no luck, and kept running into problems getting mobile node.js to work.
Anyway... if any help is needed on specific details, I might be able to help, so feel free to reach out.
This is going to sound made-up but, I talked with Github founder Tom Preston-Werner at a coffee shop about a week or so after Microsoft acquired Github (I live in Tom's hometown).
Anyway, he was relieved that it wasn't a company like Google, who would have likely pushed their core product (advertising) onto users. And Github has a reasonable business model IMO: make it enjoyable enough that developers will ask for it and sell service to businesses. So personally, I'm staying on it for now.
