One of my favourite programming books. In the past I've given this to new programmers to learn about thinking about programming.
On the subject of #new-zealand cabbage trees, this is a photo of Te Tī Tūtahi, a famous cabbage tree that stood in Newmarket, #auckland. It was sacred to Ngāti Whatua, a local Māori iwi, being a place where they buried the placenta of newborn babies in the roots. It was cut down in 1908 because it was considered to be a danger to children at the nearby Newmarket school. A tree grown from cuttings is at Howick Historical Village and also some of the trees at the Highwic historic cottege are grown from them.
